Summary
Don’t miss the next emotionally gripping thriller from Sunday Times bestseller Susan Lewis!
THE STORY...
The first chapter of a manuscript arrives on Publisher Marina’s desk. She assumes it’s just another novel by another aspiring writer...
THE SECRET...
As the chapters arrive one by one, Marina is convinced they are about her past. There’s only one person who can know everything about the scandal, the trial, and the trauma that nearly broke her.
THE SILENCE...
This is one story that should never be told, and Marina is so desperate she will do anything to stop it getting out.
Critic reviews
‘Lewis’s book has you by the collar from page one. You just don’t want it to stop. Relatable characters and an unusual, intriguing plot, she kept me guessing to the last’ Hilary Boyd
‘An intriguing read that drew me in from the very beginning. It combines heartfelt family drama with a gripping plot. The characters are expertly drawn.... Susan has done a brilliant job of weaving her research seamlessly into the novel’ Julie Corbin
‘Rich, seamless and masterful storytelling with so many ‘oh my god’ twisty moments.... Absolute genius. I was totally gripped’ Rebecca Thornton

Interesting story spoiled by narration
I liked the write up for this book. Unfortunately the main narrator was so monotone, with irritating accents. I found I couldn’t wait to get it over

Once started...
I've read all of Susan's books and enjoyed them all. Nowadays, I tend to go for audiobook. The story within the story of this book was interesting but I suspect I'd have found it harder if I was reading, as the different narrators really helped to keep track. Once I'd got into the storyline, I was very quickly invested in the characters and I found I had to stop the day's events to finish it. The only reason for the four stars is the answer to what really happened was among my guesses. However, that didn't spoil my enjoyment and it really did leave it until the very last moment to get to the real truths, making you wonder if all the ends would get tied up. I'm already impatient for number 51!

It’s not very good
Story should have been good, great premise and could have been a great book. Unfortunately, this isn’t great. The narration is ok, except for the Australian and American accents. The story is badly paced, the middle section is a mass of purple prose and adds very little to the narrative. The characters, of which there are far too many, are unlikable and uninteresting. There is no one in this book that you root for, no one that you can care what happens to them. The ending was obviously, and far from being a sledgehammer of a reveal was anticlimactic and dull.

Another great book Susan!
Loved every moment of this and the narration was excellent. Yes, the American and Aussie accents aren’t the best but I’ve heard a lot worse and they didn’t grate. Overall a great listen.

Poor storyline
Long, drawn out and very boring. If I
Could have returned this book, I would have. This book could have been over in 2 chapters. Repetitive

Boring
Tried to persevere but it didn't get better. The book equivalent of a bad soap.

My opinion of I know it’s you
Extremely confusing
So much so that I didn’t get past Chapter 6 before I deleted it
Disappointed because I have enjoyed other books I have read by the same author
