About this listen
Ground Zero was spooky with elongated shadows covering the remains of the buildings. The shadows were in the shape of people, but the last thing Miranda ever expected to see at the fallen Twin Towers was her brother’s ghost. She was separated from Jake as a child. Christopher Michaels, a survivor of Tower Two, claims to be Jake’s best friend.
Is it really fate, like Michaels claims, that of all the thousands mourning at Ground Zero, he is the one she happens to bump into? She has no choice but to hang out with the weird Michaels in order to unravel her brother’s past. As Miranda spends time with her brother's best friend, she begins to wonder who the man really is. Against her better judgment, Miranda becomes emotionally entangled with Michaels, a bitter alcoholic with a secret.
Part mystery, part suspense, a riveting love story. I Will Always Love You takes place in the aftermath of 9/11, two weeks after the planes hit the World Trade Center in New York City. The author has won a Best Historical Fiction Award.

An emotional tale of loss and love
I got an audiobook copy via Audioboom and am delighted to be able to leave this review in return.
I chose this book as I've always been intrigued by the 9/11 event which left a city suspended in time. The audiobook is read by a plucky and enthusiastic reader. The story was relatively sparse with characters, which worked almost in the form of a gothic novel, especially as this is about the supernatural. The ending is particularly interesting and makes the novel well-worth reading. I would consider reading another of her books.
