Summary

One of the world's biggest boy bands. A secret love. What happens if the world finds out? A queer YA boy-band romance from Sophie Gonzales and Cale Dietrich, perfect for fans of Only Mostly Devastated and What If It's Us.

Eighteen-year-olds Ruben Montez and Zach Knight are two members of the boy-band Saturday, one of the biggest acts in America. Along with their bandmates, Angel Phan and Jon Braxton, the four are teen heartbreakers in front of the cameras and best friends backstage. But privately, cracks are starting to form: their once-easy rapport is straining under the pressures of fame, and Ruben confides in Zach that he's feeling smothered by management's pressure to stay in the closet.

love the story

the story is great it ,and it was more then just the love dove part, took opp some of the struggles in lgbtq+ community.

the voices is okay, for me it could need more versjon of the character's, like accents or tone, idk it get to blended, so need a lot of focus on wait who is saying this

Great Story

It is a BL story, but it is also so much more. It explores the topic of show business and exploitation of young people in this line of work. I found these parts of the novel even more interesting than the love story, which is sweet and cute and everything you can hope for in a BL novel.

Boring

Maybe nothing was wrong and this is just not my kind of book. Nothing happened and the characters stayed shallow.
I mean, I know lots of famous people are not happy and boybands are a construct without freedom and little creativity and artists loose income when coming out and addiction is common in the music business. If you like those facts illustrated for hours and nothing else, this is your book.

Love the story but voiceover casting is way off

Love this story and love the emotion it pulls out of you. The frustration and anger at the situation they are facing but the humanisation of how they handle the situation is relatable. Excellent characters.
Narrater however was miss cast. Very good and very clear but felt like this young hip boy band were being voiced by the cast of Frasier! Didn’t fit at all. Glad I stuck with it though
