Summary

"A gem . . . An unforgettable account of one of the great moments in the history of human thought." -Steven Pinker

Probing the life and work of Kurt Gödel, Incompleteness indelibly portrays the tortured genius whose vision rocked the stability of mathematical reasoning—and brought him to the edge of madness.

Good narrative and structure

Excellent book.

I think in general, the book can be divided into three distinct parts:
1. Background, including intellectual background, of the age and of Gödel (includes discussions on formalism, the Vienna Circle etc)
2. Strategy, technical proof and corrolaries of the 2 Incompletenes Theorems
3. Reception of theory, aftermath and life of Gödel after the Incompleteness Theorems

Very enjoyable book, though I'd say the technical bits are not very suitable for the audiobook format.

Highly recommended
