About this listen
I'm not like the vampires in your books, little girl. I'm not agonizing over my own soul or the ethics of drinking your blood. I don't want saving or to find some great love that will alter my very existence. I'm not a monster. I'm the devil himself, and I have no problem playing that role. I take what I want, and right now, what I want is you. And there's nothing you can do to stop me.
The Elite is a PNR series of novelettes.

Great short listen
Everette isn’t like other vampires he’s a monster and he’s not afraid to let his victims know. That’s until he meets Farah and he changes the way he’s always done things.
Great short listen and looking forward to more in the series .

Everette and Farah!
When it comes to vampires Everette is part of the upper echelon and he choose whichever human he wants to feast on whenever he wants. He has chosen the woman who he will have next however one taste of her is not enough.
Farah didn’t believe that vampires existed outside of people’s imaginations, but she is about to learn otherwise and it could have deadly consequences.
They both know that they should stay away from each other but somethings are too strong to deny. I can’t wait to see where Everette’s and Farah’s story takes us. I received a complimentary copy of the audiobook and thought the narrator did a great job with both characters.

Enjoyable Instinct
Instinct, the first instalment in the Elite series is a delightful paranormal romance novella. The premise is interesting about a vampire who is obsessed with a human woman. The characters are charming, and the dual point-of-view allows an insight into their thoughts and emotions. I didn't fully connect with the characters, mainly due to the length of the audiobook. Also, of note, that the story ends in a cliffhanger.
Debbie Shelter's performance was great. She has a beautiful voice, I just wished she used a different tone for her portrayal of Everette. Overall, this was an enjoyable audiobook and will listen to the next series.

Interesting take on vampires, good narration
I wasn't quite sure what to make of this story. It left me with way more questions than answers and I am intrigued to know what happens next. It's an interesting take on vampires.
Great narration by Debbie Soelter.

Girl meets vampire
A very short book, girl meets vampire story but something I couldn't put my finger on kept drawing me back to it.... I don't know what it is but I'm eager for more and this definitely whet my appetite

Intriguing
He wants her. He's been tracking her for weeks. He finds the smell of her blood intoxicating. He wants to drain the life from her. But for some reason, he wants to know her and protect her more. He wants to drain her, but he feels it will be a waste. The thought of wanting to keep her alive confuses him.
This was a decent book. I really did enjoy the read. It was a very short and easy read. I wound up finishing it while playing a game I enjoy. I don't really have any issues with the book exactly. It just wasn't something I feel like I could fully gush over either. The only thing I can say is I feel like it would have been a longer book. I feel like there were certain things that needed to be explained better.
I can't really say I felt a connection to the characters. Then again, I did feel like I could relate a bit to the female lead. She was smart and loves to read. I just felt like I didn't really get enough time to fully get to know her. That's why I didn't feel a connection. There were no real secondary characters. Other people are referenced, but it's mainly the vampire and the waitress. The vampire was a bit repetitive honestly.
Debbie Soelter narrated this book. She did a decent job, but there were certain parts where she sounded a bit choppy. Other than that, I really enjoyed the narration. The choppy thing may just be me being overly picky. I'm not really sure in all honesty. I would still listen to other books narrated by her. She has a sweet voice.
This is a very short read. It sits at about a hundred pages. Even though I wouldn't say I was in love with the book, I did like it. It was a nice read. I do recommend it. For those that read it, I'd love to know what book that you feel like the waitress was reading. I have some theories. I'd like to know if others have the same theories as me!

I want to know more..
I really enjoyed listening to Instinct, the narration was such a treat for the ears with both characters in this dual point of view story being fantastically voice acted by Debbie Soelter. The characterisations were smoothly transitioned and distinct.
I did enjoy the story but would have liked the story to have include more than just these two characters. More characters would have added a richness and depth to the story. Having said that, there was real chemistry between Farah and Everette and I liked what I heard and look forward to hearing more.

Instinct
This seems more of a prequel than an actual book 1 to me. There doesn’t seem to be too much going on, just some inner turmoil and a bit of background information. That being said, it is very interesting and I would get the next book to see how this progresses.
