Summary

Shortlisted for: Children's Book of the Year – Specsavers National Book Awards 2012

A great debut . . . you'll be itching to read more.' Anthony Horowitz Meet Itch - an accidental, accident-prone hero. Science is his weapon. Elements are his gadgets. This is Alex Rider with Geek-Power! Itchingham Lofte - known as Itch - is fourteen, and loves science - especially chemistry. He's also an element-hunter: he's decided to collect all the elements in the periodic table. Which has some interesting and rather destructive results in his bedroom . . . Then, Itch makes a discovery. A new element, never seen before. At first no one believes him - but soon, someone hears about the strange new rock and wants it for himself. And Itch is in serious danger.

I love it

It's one of the best audiobooks I've listened to.
The story line is amazing I felt like I was in the story with Itch Jack and Chloe.
I would recommend the book to anyone who loves a great story. And I rated this 5/5 stars, I just love it

Entertaining science with added radiation!

From an 11 year old : really interesting and makes science interesting. It has made me want to find out more about all the different elements.

A gripping and interesting book.

The book has been listened to multiple times by my family and they all love it. Now all I am looking for is the second and third book!
