Great twist
A twist I was not expecting. The story was rolling nicely. Good voices. Multi dimensional characters.

Some good parts but some bad
Not the best book I’ve read, the storyline was at points very unbelievable. It wasn’t a bad listen but it certainly wasn’t a great listen.

Justice Served. Beautiful Narrator
In love with Michelle Campbell all over again. I have never hated a heroine so much probably in my whole life. The End was so so satisfying, im walking around with a calm smile right now

One of the most enjoyable listens
The book narration coming from multiple point of view characters gives the book more freshness than if it was all from one persons, creating a complex and layered story, with references to major events or motives pass and present. The book weaves the pass with the present very well rushing you to want listen more so you can full understand, yet you are never confused about what timeline you are on.
For me this was a complete enjoyable read, being someone who likes to guess the who, in who did it, I was kept guessing and just wanted to talk to someone about my theory and idea about the murder(s), so would be a perfect read for any book clubs or group of friends. I was truly shock about the ending and didn't see it coming, with all the clues there this was down to the fantastic set up of the book and story writing. .
For me half the appeal to a book is the story but also the performance ,January Lavoy has a calming and soft voice you would expect to hear from your best friend, she did a brilliant job each characters voices matching the characters personally and the pacing perfectly.

Not any great surprises here... a slow unwinding if not very likeable characters and the interactions between them.
