Help your parents live with dignity in their twilight years without sacrificing your own health and sanity.
When elderly parents can no longer care for themselves, the responsibility for their care usually falls on their adult children. Filled with insights from the author’s own personal experience with caring for her aging mother, it will make your caregiving experience more manageable and more rewarding, right from the start.
Here’s just a fraction of what you will discover inside:
- A compassionate look inside your parents’ world to help you empathize and understand what they are going through
- How to handle embarrassing senior moments with sensitivity and grace
- The most common conflict situations you’ll encounter with your parents and how to resolve them peacefully

And much more.
Caregiving is never easy no matter who you’re caring for, but it’s even harder when you’re taking care of a parent. But while you can’t turn back time, you can make this time count by providing them with a caring environment and unconditional support. Great book
This is such a useful book for those who give care to elderly parents. It goes into detail on the things that change as we age such as memory loss, incontinence and feeling weaker. It then helps guide you in how to care for elderly parents or relatives in a sensitive and caring way. Such a useful book for everyone caring for elderly relatives

Very Informative!
Perfect guide for caregivers and adults who has still have their senior parents around. I great guide for them to understand and take care of the old ones. The book has a good content and all and will surely be great help for both the seniors and who are taking care of them. I got this book because I know I will need them soon, since I still have my grandmothers around, I notice little things are changing for them, like memory loss, and being very weak at times. Overall it was a well-written book.

We Can All Make A Difference
“The most important thing is to keep trying” So says this amazing book. Good advice. Caregiving is not an easy task, this book will definitely help. I remember looking after my 96yr old mother, it wasn’t easy. Enter the sandwich generation. The caregivers. Taking care of my own mother was a steep learning curve, this book wasn’t available then, but I really wish it had been.
This audiobook is well produced, and the narrator's voice is very calming and empathetic. The advice is sound and helpful and I think it covers pretty much most, if not all you could wish to know when looking after someone in their later years. Great book - 5 Stars.

Amazing advice for caregivers
I have an elderly family member at home and I sometimes have to care for them. I enjoyed this book and appreciate the sensitive language that they are not burdens but it does get hard caring for them. A definite read!

Great guide for care givers
I downloaded this audio book as my partners father has vascular dementia and he's helping with his daily care along with his brothers and sisters. This type of care is new to the whole family and I wanted to help support them by doing some research. This guide is great as it helps guide the listener on how to tackle the more embarrassing aspects of caring for your parents and how to empathise and show compassion. Would recommend.

Exactly what I needed!
This is exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a book that would help me with my caregiving to my mum, and I just got it! I have just reached the sandwich generation stage. My 96 year old mum is now reaching that stage where she's unable to do things by herself anymore, and we want her at home with us instead of in a care home. This audiobook has given me everything I need to know to be properly equipped for the task. The most crucial part of the audiobook for me is 'what to do when it becomes too much for me'. Aside from knowing what to expect and learning how to manage all situations, I'm also able to get help for myself and maintain a balance. This audiobook is a must-have for every caregiver. Strongly recommended!

Excellent guide to care for elderly relatives
This is a great book. It's hard enough to see your parents decline and lose their independence, but it is much harder to take responsibility for their well-being and maybe even their finances. Afterall, they were the ones who were always in charge and in control!! But now, they can't do for themselves what they did before. This book guides you through the numerous challenges of helping your elderly parents (or other relatives you may have to care for). I recommend this book. You won't regret buying it.

Informative and Clear!
The audiobook provides a candid help as many of the information here are so real and relatable. My father also need my help and the book informs on memory loss and the facts are real as it will help look after incontinet elders. Many refuse to accept help and this is really understandable. The book encourages to continue to care for ageing parents. It is a real honour to take care of my dad.The audiobook is most helpful for those aiming to achieve balance with helping older people.
