great tips
I have to say I'm very impressed. I hate java, it's far from easy and I've done workshops that left me confused.

java programing
I have to say I'm very impressed. I hate java, it's far from easy and I've done workshops that left me confused. The difference in this book is the detailed discussion on how it was developed and how to use it. This book gives information that I have failed to find in so many others. It's not just a step by step how-to-do, it explains how it works in detail. At the end there is a simple walk-through that meant so much more, due to the preceding chapters.

glad to have this book
This book is the most comprehensive text on Java I could find. It should be for the price. Unlike other books on Java, it actually has a glossary (!), it actually diagrams common Java statements such as "public static void main(String [] args)"--THIS IS THE ONLY BOOK ON JAVA THAT EXPLAINED TO ME EXACTLY WHAT THAT FREAKING STATEMENT MEANS!!!
It ain't cheap, but it's well worth it.
