Not what I was expecting but thoroughly enjoyable
Not your normal comedian's take on a book. There's mention of Maslow's hierarchy of needs, Belbin's team roles and Neuro-linguistic Programming. An inspirational and honest book of how Jimmy Carr worked to become so successful, and how to apply this to your own goals. Arguably leaves the listener with a better idea of who the author really is than a warts and all biography ever could.

Unexpected potential life changing advice!
From start to finish, this book had me gripped, so much so I finished it in one session. Big fan of Jimmy Carr and his stage performances, and this was a real joy to listen to his journey getting to where he is now. It had me laughing and it pulled a few heart strings. The overall self help parts were, to be completely honest, truly inspiring and I will certainly be using some of his advice to hopefully enhance my life and my way of thinking.
A must listen!

Self help from Jimmy Carr
Thanks Jimmy for 6 hours of experience and wisdom on life skills and funnier than American self help gurus podcasts. Way better than a biography. Any man who can survive HMRC tax investigation and still be laughing is worth listening to.

Brilliantly Honest and Hilarious
Absolutely loved this book. The performance was brilliant and the stories are so bite size and anecdotal. Feels like you get a real insight into the man that is Jimmy Carr. Would 100% recommend to anyone, even people who aren’t fans of his work, and weirdly I think they would enjoy it more than diehard fans.

If you want to be a comedian you MUST read this!
I’m not even a big fan of Jimmy Carr but thought an autobiography would be entertaining. I was not expecting a very well thought through self help book! Also this is not an instruction book on how to be a comedian BUT anyone who wants to have a go at stand up should treat this book as solid Gold, it tells you everything you need to know! Truly!

best and Funniest "Self help" book Ever
To be fair both the only Funny Self help book and the only self help book I've listened to, but none the less, bloody hilarious and genuinely helpful.
