Summary

She’s a sexually repressed control freak. He’s a muscular ex-con with heavier baggage than Santa’s toy bag. They’re everything each other never wanted.

Mary

I’m usually the first person on my block to decorate for Christmas. This year? Humbug.

My six-year-old son, Aidan, just had a meltdown after learning some hard truths from a drunk Santa impersonator, and I can no longer deny we both need help. Change is hard for Aidan, and right now he’s dealing with several big ones, including A) his father abandoning us, B) our move to Asheville, and C) the Santa snafu.

And me? I’m a control freak, and my life is more out-of-control than a sled on ice.

That’s why I agree to let Aidan join Butterfly Buddies, a group that matches kids with adult mentors.

It’s also why I agree to a mentor of my own - terrifying, pink-haired Nicole, who wants to help me live life on the wild side. Her advice is strangely compelling, especially after I meet Aidan’s new “buddy”, a gorgeous tattooed hunk of a man who makes me wish there weren’t cobwebs in my...well, you know.

Jace

Mary O’Shea is sexy as hell, but she doesn’t know it.

She also doesn’t know I’m an ex-con, and if she finds out that I served three years in prison, extenuating circumstances won’t matter to her.

The last thing I should do is get attached to her kid...or her, but I didn’t get in this position by making good decisions.

Mary & Jace's story

I loved this second installment in the Bad Luck Club series. It could technically be listened to as a standalone, but it would be best to listen to 'Love at First Hate' (Book 1 of the series) first.
I loved the story and Mary's son being on the autism spectrum and how he processes the world around him was written so well that I'm presuming one of the authors has first hand experience of helping an autistic child to navigate their emotions.
The whole story is one of confidence building, empowerment and love, with some laugh out loud moments thrown in. The sheer awkwardness of the Amazon delivery had me crying with laughter.
Looking forward to moving onto Tina's story in the next book straightaway 😊

Jingle bell Jackpot !!

Brilliant book !
Book number two in the Bad Luck Club series and what a great listen.
I completely fell in Love with Jace ,Mary and Aiden.
They are quite the opposite, The Convict and The Lawyer you probably think this combination would never work.
But it does in the steamiest and sweetest of ways....Jace becomes Mary's sons buddy as they are new in town.
Aiden is adorable he is autistic so has some challenges and doesn't see the world like everyone else does.Jace is just so good with him, patient and understanding it made my heart melt. This is how Mary gets to know Jace and sparks fly between them.
Mary is a Lawyer and recently separated from her husband who is not a nice man at all..So she moved to Asheville to be close to her sisters.when Aiden is assigned a buddy she did not expect him to be so drop dead gorgeous. But when she discovers Jace has a past can she allow him in her and her sons life?
Tyler Donne and Amanda Ronconi are Magnificent their Narration had me gripped.I really enjoyed listening to them tell me this story.
Jingle bell hell is another Phenomenal story by A.R Casella and Denise Grover Swank,it captured my heart from the Start.
Such a sweet sexy and humorous Audiobook.
I highly recommend it.
