Well performed and entertaining
Nicholas Guy Smith performs this book very well. It is almost like he is not there, his acting is so natural.
The stories are tightly written and set in a world similar to the Hammer films. The characters are good, dialogue amusing and plots interesting.

Terry Pratchett, Douglas Adams and Lovecraft in 1
I had so much fun listening to this. I was new to the author but for sure will be listening to more from him. The turn of phrase he has is truly reminiscent of Douglas Adams and I'm surprised I hadn't come across him before. Fantastic ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Ghoulishly good
This was my first encounter with Johanes Cabal, the charismatic necromancer. I will definitely be returning for more. The narration was perfect, and overall I would throughly recommend!

Funny, quirky and well written
I surprisingly enjoyed this… really wasn’t sure but included.
Funny, well written and narrated… short stories.

captivating and imaginative set of stories
This book was my introduction to the world of Mr Cabal now I want to read every book with him in. I binge listened to it and could do so again. disappointed only two other books are available on audible.
