Summary
An unmissable thriller of 2023 from the Sunday Times Number One bestselling author of One Last Secret and Both Of You…
Lost. Missing. Murdered?
And both her husbands are suspects…
Kylie Gillingham’s disappearance has gripped the nation: the woman with a shocking secret – married to two men at the same time – is missing, presumed dead. And both her husbands are suspects.
DC Clements knows the dark side of human nature and that love can make people do treacherous things; you can’t presume anything when it comes to crimes of the heart. While Kylie’s two husbands remain prime suspects, her sons won’t accept that she is dead. Until a body is found, this scandalous and sad case remains wide open.
Stacie Jones lives a quiet life in a small village, nursed by her father as she recovers from illness, shielded from any disquieting news of the outside world. But their reclusive life is about to be shattered.
How are these families linked, and can any of them ever rebuild their lives in the wake of tragedy?
This explosive thriller from Number One bestseller Adele Parks examines what it is to be a family and the dangerous lengths that people will go to for those they love.
Critic reviews
‘Adele Parks is at the top of her game with this, her best book yet. I read it in two greedy sittings, completely swept up in the masterfully executed narrative of the mystery, turning the pages so fast they almost set alight!’ Lisa Jewell
‘Twisted, urgent, shocking, satisfying – this is Adele Parks at the peak of her powers’ Louise Candlish
‘This is a writer at the absolute top of her game. Just Between Us is not to be missed: it is my book of 2023. Satisfying, twisty, smart. Don’t let it pass you by’ Gillian McAllister

Couldn’t stop listening
Different to mystery books I usually read, this had everything. A building plot, clear characters and motivations and some excellent narration,

Enjoyed
I am so glad there was a sequel. I’m glad there was an ending to the both of you. It was so good to hear the characters in a more forgiving light and understand them more. I loved it. Thank you

Another triumph from Adele Parks
Such a cleverly written plot, following on from Both of You. This had all of the twists you loved from the story that preceded it. LOVED IT! Read them both immediately!!!!

Too unrealistic for my liking
Just an outrageous unrealistic storyline, didn’t really enjoy this book at all. I have listened all the way through but found the characters unbelievable and the story line just too much for me.

I felt a bit cheated as if Id read it before ?!
I felt a bit disapointed by this book as I wish I’d re read the first book to remind myself what happened as throughout the book I kept feeling like I’ve already read this book. I know about this book, like it was something already read, so I don’t think I’ve got the enjoyment out of it that I expected.

Too many implausible scenarios
Vaguely entertaining but the combination of events was so unbelievable that the story was difficult to follow.

What a rollercoaster
I spent ages in the book so confused , flicking from one character to another and eventually my brain clicked onto what the book was doing ..
Very very cleverly written and I was glued in the end .. superb narration .
Highly recommend

Very strong
A great thriller. I actually hadn’t realised it was a sequel until after I finished so I don’t know how it stands up to the original. I don’t feel like you need anything from the first book to enjoy this one. Yes bits of the plot are a bit ridiculous but I enjoyed the story and found it difficult to stop listening to

Wow! Worth the wait!
What a great book & well narrated. While it has been awhile since I’ve read Both Of You, as I got into this one it came back with a vengeance and I was ready to find out what happens next to Kylie, her husbands & children.
.Adele grabs you quickly into the plot and scatters your mind with excellence,l and storyline intensity.
kept me immersed while the tension builds and the plot deepens and in true Adele style there’s twists and turns all the way to the end. A skilful, robust and carefully plotted serial.
