This kept me mesmerised. Trying to work out myself what happens . I kept changing my mind. So to me it wasn't obvious, so kept having to listen.

What made the experience of listening to Just What Kind of Mother Are You? the most enjoyable?

Fast paced story. Beleivable characters. Suspense.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Definitely Lisa. I identified with her so much

Excellent heartfelt book

A really enjoyable and intriguing book. Well written and well read. Any busy parent or grandparent, especially ones who lives in rural areas will identify with the themes. Highly recommended

a modern day dilema

If you could sum up Just What Kind of Mother Are You? in three words, what would they be?

A modern day story, although some of the characters were a bit OTT the story gripped me from the start.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Lisa, big friendly mum, just the sort of of mum we'd all like

What about Laura Brattan’s performance did you like?

Excellent, at one point I thought several different people were reading

Another gem

Like her other book this will captivate you, the narrator was very good and the story fascinating. I did sort of guess the end, but that did not detract from a very good book. recommended to anyone who loves a very good mystery and Windemere. Ps. Did have to listen for 30 minutes at 2am, so I could find out what was happening in the story.

enjoyable read

Where does Just What Kind of Mother Are You? rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This book was a quick purchase and although fairly predictable I still enjoyed it.kind of a middle of the road book.

Most enjoyable

This was the story of an ordinary woman plunged into an unthinkable situation. The characters were well thought out and I felt empathy with them. I enjoyed the characterisation and the narration with local accents gave meaning and depth to the story. I would highly recommend this book.

Kept me interested

This was a great balance between a good story - and an easy listen for my long commute to work.

The characters are believable and well developed. Even though the story seems a bit far-fetched at times, it's told so well, I can forgive the author for that. Definitely worth a listen.

Fantastic debut!

If you could sum up Just What Kind of Mother Are You? in three words, what would they be?

Very good indeed. I hate to say this but I found the accent very annoying - not the narrator's fault but north east accents just grate on he. But I got used to it!

What other book might you compare Just What Kind of Mother Are You? to, and why?

Ooh. I think it's in a semi- genre of its own.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes. I was very upset and annoyed that after the book finished the author revealed what had inspired her. I didn't finish listening ( it was an author's note after the book had finished and is no spoiler) and was really upset. It in fact made me think in hindsight she had no respect or like of her main character. I also didn't see how it related to the book so was an unnecessary sharing of angst.
