About this listen

Experience a practical, uplifting, and fascinating introduction to a time-honored system of spiritual growth and self-discovery. The Kabbalah, Judaism's timeless mystical tradition, was said to be brought down from heaven by angels. Its teachings were originally passed down by word of mouth because mystics believed its secrets transcended the written word. Rabbi David Cooper's Kabbalah Meditation continues this great oral tradition, immersing his students in its sacred wisdom of reaching peace through direct union with God. These 11 unique and authentic meditations are over 2000 years old, yet offer proven methods to increase our awareness, contact higher planes of consciousness, and become "vessels for the light of God".©1995 Rabbi David Cooper (P)1995 by Rabbi David Cooper Judaism Sacred writing Spirituality

A gentle introduction

Is there anything you would change about this book?

The narration was a little bit monotonous and slow; a few shifts in pace or tone would be good.

One big distraction was the way the organisation of the chapters was managed. You have to listen to a lot of introduction before you reach each meditation. After a first listen I feel it is important to be able to easily search for the beginning of each meditation. I found myself getting stressed while awaiting the guided meditations.

Would you recommend Kabbalah Meditation to your friends? Why or why not?

The book, yes, the audiobook not so much.

What didn’t you like about Rabbi David Cooper’s performance?

All one pace and tone, though he has a gentle voice

Any additional comments?

The 4 meditations have offered me new perspectives though I am not entirely new to kabbalah. They are well written, accessible, life-affirming and challenge us to receive our own insights and the voice of intuition.
