When you are on a ketogenic diet, the whole body starts depending upon fat as the source of fuel. As insulin levels become very low, the burning of fat can increase to a great extent. It becomes very easy to access the stores of fat to burn them off. A keto diet, if followed religiously, will have all the benefits of fasting, including loss of weight, without having to fast for the long term.
