About this listen

The story of an emigrant family told by the child

During the pre-war nazi period this little family of penniless writer father, mother, and 10 year old daughter is moving from one country and place to another. Never do they stay anywhere long enough to build a new home for themselves. The emigrant story is told by the little girl in an outright and naive manner.
She doesn’t realize or see the overall dangers of the period, but the reader knows exactly what lies behind the description of various events depicted.
This was a beautiful read.
