Joining us in the Audible Studios for a second time, on this occasion to talk about her first audio drama, The Infirmary, is British author of the best-selling DCI Ryan mystery novels LJ Ross. 

Spending most of her 20s as a regulatory lawyer, LJ Ross published her first novel in the DCI Ryan series, Holy Island, in 2015. The latest installment in the series comes in the form of an audio drama - a brand-new way to experience DCI Ryan and all the thrills and mystery Ross’ stories bring. The Infirmary is sure to delight both seasoned fans and those new to the series. 

In this interview, LJ Ross talks to us about this latest title, her love of the northeast and how she began the DCI Ryan series.

Great to hear LJ Ross

I am progressing through LJ Ross’s books and it is great to now listen to them in Audible! This interview is a good step to enable readers to hear something of this brilliant story teller. “Holy Island”and baby talk, really?

Lovely to hear from L.J Ross regards her writing carreer! I personally hope you keep on going on with Ryan as I love to hear how Sam will get on living with Philips & MacKenzie and love to hear more about the Ryan's baby Emma. I know this might be a bit difficult for you atm, but perhaps in due course, after The Rock you might feel up to it. All the best wishes & good luck!!! Anna Chalk

In love with Ryan

Wasn't sure about this book but having visited Holy Island myself I could visualise it throughout the story. Really enjoyed the story & plot. Exciting reading. Can't wait for Xmas to get some extra credits as I have to choose between Ryan & Tony Hill with Carol Jordan
