Ayant été créée par Gargamel, la Schtroumpfette ne parle pas la langue schtroumpf : ses répliques ne contiennent que des noms communs, des verbes et des adverbes appartenant à la langue française. En revanche, la créature que le Grand Schtroumpf forge au dénouement, et qui est à l'image de Gargamel, s'exprime en langue schtroumpf : "S'il vous schtroumpfe, schtroumpfez-moi chez vous, car je suis perdue et je vais schtroumpfer de faim et de schtroumpf, toute seule, dans cette grande schtroumpf pleine de schtroumpfs féroces..." Ce détail constitue l'un des gags les plus fins de l'épisode. Le langage de la créature du Grand Schtroumpf est même caricaturalement truffé de mots en schtroumpf : il en comporte bien plus que les phrases ordinairement prononcées par un Schtroumpf.
