Absolutely Fantastic

It's a really wonderful way to get kids to get to know these classics. Not boring or long winded. Now we know which full version stories we would like to listen to . The loud music in between is hilarious but that is the only irritating bit that is really minor. My nine year old son couldn't wait to get into the car to start listening. Some stories might be a bit too gory for younger kids. Like Peter Pan cutting captain Hoo's arm off. Very good value for money

Music is dreadful

We wanted to listen for these stories at bedtimes. It was, however made nearly impossible by dreadful loud music between each story. Just as my son was dosing off at the end of the story, it would wake him up.

Loads of classics, excellent value.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I'd recommend this to families - it has so many classics. I downloaded it onto my phone before we went camping, and they loved listening while we sat around the fire toasting marshmallows.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Ladybird Classics: The Complete Audio Collection?

The gothic novels were very enthusiastically enjoyed.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, it's very long.

Any additional comments?

The music in between each book is VERY LOUD!

Stories great, lack of story names frustrating

Classic stories, told and abridged well enough to really engage an adult, but very accessible to a child who can handle things longer than picture books.

I agree with other reviews, the fact that the individual stories are labelled as chapter with numbers, rather than stories with names makes finding the correct story hard, particularly because you have to listen to loud pointless music before the story begins and you can identify which it is.

Ladybird classics

Amazing the amount of stories all brilliantly described and catalogued fantastic value for money. Each story came to life from Three Musketeers to Oliver Twist. Our favourite was Gulliver's Travels.
