About this listen
The power of lateral thinking.
Lateral thinking is one of those terms that many people have heard of, but probably very few of us really know what it means. “Lateral thinking is a phrase coined by Dr. Edward de Bono as a counterpoint to conventional or vertical thinking. In conventional thinking, we go forward in a predictable, direct fashion. Lateral thinking involves coming at the problem from new directions - literally, from the side.”
Examining the herd mentality.
In this audiobook, we’ll be discussing a few topics all of us will face. Herd mentality, insecurity, and topics that are related to how we can “think outside the box". We’ll talk about why and how people act the same way or adopt similar behaviors as the people around them - often ignoring their own feelings in the process.
We have been trained to listen to the constraints of the outside world and the social standards of the society and fail to use all of our resources to change even the smallest of circumstances in our lives. It is time to tackle problems in our life, from lack of space to starting a new career on a small budget or even relationship problems.
What this audiobook proposes at a surface level may not appear to make an impact in your life. But as you listen and apply ideas from this audiobook, you’ll begin to understand how changing the way you view your circumstances can change how you approach all problems in your everyday life.

No crap.
As I start to comprehend how changing my perspectives on how I deem circumstances can make a drastic impact in my problem solving skill. This has been a highly meaningful message. A self-help book with no pretensions.

Challenging ideas.
How challenging! I finished the book about half an hour and it’s quite remarkable. This kind of thinking is to purposely turn every assumption and dominant idea on its head and see where that leads. I’m slowly adapting to this idea and I like its impact on me.

I want more of this!
We may not be aware but most of the author's points here are true. We often ignore our feelings in the process and listen to others dictate us. I wish more and more books like this are produced.

Give it a try.
It’s becoming a big help to my son who’s struggling. I was supposed to do some errands today but opted to hear some pages of this book. I was excited as it gave me the chance to improve my brainpower to think laterally. I'd like to hand this down to my teens.

Worth recommending.
This audio book is doing an excellent service to its readers. I’m an avid fan of Chris already as I have heard his other works before and this time, he didn’t fail to amaze me again. He has included some attainable process which helps in improving creativity in solving problems. I would have to recommend this to my college students.

Thinking differently.
I’ve heard how lateral thinking skill is highly prized in creative industries such as the media and publishing and since I’m working in that field, I would want to acquire the same skill. This worthwhile guide shared some meaningful ideas so one can be capable of coming up with a creative solution to a problem.

A piece of work.
I'm planning to do some brain exercises where with my daughters. I wonder if they'll be able to beat me. Ha ha ha! This is one piece of work!
