Summary

Anne is a young 21st-century woman in the midst of a lifelong love affair with the 16th century and the enigmatic Anne Boleyn. Following on from the end of Volume I, having been taken ill during a visit to the British Library, for the second time, Anne is catapulted back 500 years and into the body of her heroine.

From the zenith of Anne Boleyn's power and influence, to the dark days of her brutal downfall, the modern-day Anne experiences both triumph and tragedy, as well as uncovering the secret that lies behind her twenty-first century relationship with her lover, Daniel.

Le Temps Viendra: A Novel of Anne Boleyn is a timeless story of passion, ambition and betrayal; it is also an enduring story of an intense love forged between two souls who are bound together for all eternity. The story concludes in this second volume.

Utterly absorbing

Wow what a brilliant piece of writing!
Sarah Morris has done an amazing job narrating her own work. I think the only other historical fiction book I’ve read that is so descriptive and had me totally immersed would be Hilary Mantel’s Wolf Hall and Bring up The Bodies.
Le Temps Viendra I and II is the story of Anne Boleyn woven beautifully together with a time travelling element.
If you want to imagine how Anne’s life and death could well have been played out with well documented facts, descriptions and timelines then this is definitely the book to listen to, I was transported to Henry and Anne’s world, I was so immersed in her life and her surroundings, the description of clothing, buildings and the characters I did not want it to end and all the little details of things that bring a story to life. As for the end I won’t lie I was in tears, I did not want to say goodbye to Anne but despite her sad demise the end was written perfectly. Thank you Sarah for all your hard work, dedication and research to give us flesh to the bones of our heroine Anne Boleyn❤️.

Anne Boleyn is brought to life

An interesting tale of time travel from a modern day woman who goes back in time to inhabit the person who is Anne Boleyn. The author also narrates the book. This is the second book and both of them are extremely well done. I was transported back to Tudor England and found the attention to detail in both who Anne was and the world she lived in was very good.
I found the modern day story was not so engaging.
I hope Sarah Morris will write another historical novel as I believe she has a natural talent for it. She is a historian and is very knowledgeable about Tudor England.
