About this listen
Lily Healer is a reclusive girl with incredible spiritual power. Mass hysteria and terror sweeps through her community in the year 1692 when the village children complain of being tormented by witches.
The arrival of Marcus Wiseman, an intimidating Puritan nicknamed the "Hammer" (Malleus Maleficarum), strikes fear into the hearts of many. His mission is to help the reverend find those who have signed the Devil's Book.
Lily avoids the fearsome man at all costs...until a strange dream reveals the truth. Her life changes drastically after that fateful night, for she knows that their destinies are intertwined.
Together, they must combat the Puritanical tyranny threatening Salem village. This riveting supernatural thriller combines historical facts with romantic suspense and magical realism.

So well narrated and great story
I really enjoyed this and you can tell it was so well researched. I learnt a lot but also it was written in a way that you really got to know the characters and their story, I can just escape into a book by this author and just embrace it.

Salem
I enjoyed the narration of Megan Evans, you can hear the worry, the fear and hope.
This story is set in the Salem Witch Trials in the late 16th century. We see it from the perspective of an orphan girl who is branded by the town as a changeling.
Lilly has her own journey. The Hammer, the witch hunter comes into town. It is then that Lilly finds out about her secret. She learns his secret as well. Can Lilly protect herself and mother from the demons and not be accused of witchcraft? With so many secrets and accusations of who is a witch. And everyone living in fear of being hung.

Great Read
I've read fantasy before but nothing set at this time, it was really interesting to hear a story set in Salem. The plot is enthralling & I found myself thinking about it when I wasn't reading it. The character of Markus was written superbly, absolutely perfect. Really enjoyed this story & highly recommend.
The narration was brilliant, I enjoyed her voice & her acting was really well done.
