I loved the dual narration of Joe Arden and Lucy Rivers
This is a dark, twisted, entertaining, steamy book. Lex is a mafia king who takes Wren as a pawn in a war. There is a connection and chemistry between them is hot. Lex is strong dominant and sexy. Wren is a feisty. Wren provokes Lex and and its very entertaining. Lots of secrets. Ends in a cliffhanger.

Readers could have been better
The story was good but it felt rushed. Especially during the scenes where you wanted them to take their time, they hurried through. But even between paragraphs, they lacked any pause.
Still good enough for me to want to get the other book and finish the story though.

Beautiful
I really enjoyed this it's the perfect mafia romance. we have a strong alphahole and an even stronger heroine 💜💙
It was performed beautifully by both Lucy and Joe they made you feel every single emotion the writer wanted you to feel.

Incredible start to this romantic suspense!
Get ready for the start of a wild ride! Revenge is the name of the game and Lex is ready to seek his. After an attack by the Valentine family, doing irreparable damage, he found the perfect target. Taking his daughter, Wren. Little does he know what he has done. Wren is quite the woman. She may not know much about her father, but she does know what it takes to defend herself. When it comes to Lex though, there is a pull that she cannot resist. But what will happen now that she is claimed by Lex? Will her father care? Will Lex keep his little bird safe? Dark and delicious, Ria Wilde writes a romantic suspense full of twists and turns. I was on edge, waiting for the shoe to drop, and I just wasn't prepared for it! Now I need to know how this is all going to end! Fantastic characters, thrilling suspense and a hot and spicy romance, what more could you ask for?
I will tell you! Joe Arden and Lucy Rivers to read it to me! What a team! These two bring it all. Arden delivers the alpha male full of darkness and passion. Rivers creates a strong, feisty woman, knowing herself and what she wants. Fabulous narration, building the suspense and keeping it impossible to put down! Loved it!

Intense and Suspenseful!
This was my first Ria Wilde's book, and won't be my last. This is the first book in the Twisted City Duet, a Dark Romance. This is a great introduction to Wren and Lex's story. The storyline is raw, intense, suspenseful, and captivating, filled with danger, action, and twists and turns. The story ends with a cliffhanger, as expected, and I am looking forward to listening to Twisted King, the next book in the series. Joe Arden and Lucy Rivers did an excellent job bringing this story to life. They are perfect as Wren and Lex.
