It’s all in the game or the worm has turned.

As a fan of this author, the Charly Muffin series and gradually audibly munching my way through the rest of his books I feel this book touches on so much more than just the spying. Published in 1991-I personally love the irony of Fremantle’s then concepts and where we are now in 2024 globally mixed with human nature & psychology. I also recommend ‘Target’ where fiction and real events cross paths a bit to close for comfort

Shocking pronunciation

The heavy handed German accents were difficult to deal with but I persevered as the story was intriguing. However, the pronunciation of Jutta (which should be Yutta), the Chancellery (should be chan celry not Chan celery), and Adenauer to name but three were grating in the extreme. I did wonder if it had been read using AI. I won't listen to anything narrated by Heather Wilds again.
