Summary

Throughout our country, atrocities are taking place in doctor’s offices and hospital operating rooms. Physically healthy children and adolescents are being permanently disfigured and sometimes sterilized. Those youth say they’re transgender, and we—their parents, teachers, therapists, and doctors—are supposed to agree with their self-diagnosis and take a back seat as they make the most consequential decision of their lives: to alter their bodies in order to, we are told, “align” them with their minds.

Medical, educational, and government authorities advise us to support the “gender journeys” of still developing kids, including medical interventions with poor evidence of long-term improvement.

This would not be acceptable in any other field of medicine. Indeed, the treatments our medical authorities and Washington call “crucial” and “life-saving” have been banned in progressive Sweden, Finland, and Britain.

Dr. Miriam Grossman is a child and adolescent psychiatrist whose practice consists of trans-identified youth and their families. In Lost in TransNation, she implores parents to reject the advice of gender experts and politicians and trust their guts—their parental instincts—in the face of an onslaught of ideologically driven misinformation that steers them and their children toward risky decisions they may end up mourning for the rest of their lives.

The beliefs that male and female are human inventions; that the sex of a newborn is arbitrarily “assigned”; and that as a result the child requires “affirmation” through medical interventions—these ideas are divorced from reality and therefore hazardous, especially to children. The core belief—that biology can and should be denied—is a repudiation of reality and a mockery of what hard science teaches about being male and female.

Dr. Grossman believes that parents know their child best; they especially know if they have a son or daughter. But currently in our country when it comes to gender identity, everyone knows better than mom and dad. Schools enable students to live double lives—Patrick at home, Patti at school. Activists tell kids their loving homes are “unsafe” when parents voice doubts about the child’s new identity. For refusing to see their son as their daughter, parents might be reported to protective services, a development that can lead to a family’s destruction.

Lost in TransNation arms parents with the ammunition to avoid, or, if necessary, fight what many families describe as the most difficult challenge of their lives. Parents will learn what to say and how—at home, at school, and if necessary, to police when they appear at the door.

“Don’t be blindsided like so many parents I know,” warns Grossman, “be proactive and get educated. Feel prepared and confident to discuss trans, nonbinary, or whatever your child brings to the dinner table.” Whether it’s the “trans is as common as red hair” claim, or the “I’m not your son, I’m your daughter” proclamation, or the “do you prefer a live son or a dead daughter" threat, says Grossman, no family is immune, and every parent must be prepared.

No child is born in the wrong body, Dr. Grossman reassures us, their bodies are just fine; it’s their emotional lives that need healing. Whether you’re facing a gender identity battle in your home right now, or want to prevent one, you need this book to guide you and your loved ones out of the madness.

Great narration. Thoroughly researched.

I had been waiting for this book since I saw the author appear in Matt Walsh’s documentary.

Miriam Grossman writes clearly and with a strong sense of ethics, backed by thorough research and a scientific approach. The narration by the author is delightful. The foreword by Jordan Peterson gives the best opening to a great book.

Rooted in biological facts and scientific studies, the book traces back the origins of gender ideology and explains how it became so pervasive—despite the lack of medical consensus and scientific evidence to support hormone treatments and surgical procedures.

The author also covers topics such as watchful waiting, coping mechanisms, the power of language, the meaning of words, speech policing, medical euphemisms, school indoctrination, chemical castration, the “gender spectrum”, and the irreversible damage of premature transition.

The book ends with a series of appendixes about dealing with schools, child protective services, finding a therapist, and internet parental controls—covering multiple stories of parents struggling with their child’s transition and fighting the system to keep their family together.

Superb, common sense manual for parents.

This book wasn't what I thought it would be. It's a manual for how as a parent, you need to navigate the conversations that inevitably will come your way.

This book will save lives. God bless Dr Grossman for putting her head above the parapet, she is truly a hero.

Great handbook for parents

Thus is another great book tackling the thorny issue of gender identity ideology on children. Very interesting to have the medical perspective and also hear so many real life cases brought to the public's attention. Although fairly heavily weighted to US parenting there are many excellent tips and warnings for those of us outside the US.

Truth, facts, reality.

I attended an LGBT+ affirming church but gradually became more and more uncomfortable because I felt I was unable to talk about biological truth. I am gay but not trans and when younger I toyed with the notion that I was gay because I had more feminine characteristics than I “should” have. Today, it is not unfashionable that I would have been hurtled towards the idea of transition. I am a man. Totally 100%. Not a Hercules or Mike Tyson. But a human being with male DNA in virtually every cell. I read this book after seeing content with Dr Grossman and I feel empowered. I have moved churches and had an honest conversation with my vicar who advised me that so many in the youth church report gender incongruence, demand atypical pronouns and are confused. Just because I am not trans nor have children, does this mean I don’t have a role to play in countering the ideology. I came to this book believing I would obtain facts, truth and reality. Dr Grossman delivered. Interestingly the facts, truth and reality were not delivered to further an ideology. I trust Dr Grossman. She delivered. I live in a world where a government organisation encourages the identification of your personal pronouns on email signatures. LGBT groups that encourage it as allyship. My name is James. My picture denotes a “bloke”. I’m a bloke, male. I resist identifying my personal pronouns. Half of me wants to state my personal pronouns are “ding dong” and “hello sailor” but I haven’t the courage that Dr Grossman has to stand up. I’m supposedly part of LGBT but I cannot have a different opinion for fear of repercussions. It is not a community. I had my view confirmed that this is a cult. The whole issue of identity and community. The irony is that I don’t hang my identity on “intimacy” that lasts 5 minutes if you’re lucky. My identity lies in my name, James, the name my mother chose. I am so much more than the “act”, where I am typically male and where I am not. The ideology would reduce me to potentially being a t woman. But how can I ever know the feeling of being a woman. I have no experience of it. Dr Grossman exposes the lies, the untruths and the financial and ideological incentives for them. This book empowers me to speak up. “Do you know that Money’s research, what transgender ideology is based on, is fundamentally flawed? Those poor twins. My faith, Jesus is about truth. Like her quote from the Torah, it’s a difficult path to tell it. This book is truth.

Essential informaton for all parents

Miriam Grossman is a genuine expert in the fields of child psychology and medicine with a professional career spanning over 3 decades. Her book informs and warns parents about the potential effects of transgender ideology on children from primary school level onwards. It equips parents to counteract the misinformation and to take back their rights as parents.

She debunks the unscientific propaganda being used about gender. She informs confused parents about what is actually happening to their children medically and psychologically. She recounts the ways that vulnerable children have been unscrupulously influenced in order to exploit them.

It is a parent's right and duty to protect their children from harmful influences, and this book provides the resources they need to be able to do this.

THE book on this issue

Grossman calmly and logically Grossman calmly dismantles the transgender anomaly from flawed research foundations, to hypocrisy and greed in the system, then practical techniques and testimonies for dealing with various agencies concerned. A chilling but essential read.
