Summary

The Bhagavad Gita is a gem so precious in India's spiritual treasury that many regard it not as a volume of sacred verse, but as a living manifestation of the Divine. In the summer of 1974, inside a balmy Boulder, Colorado, warehouse that served as a main hall of a fledgling Naropa Institute, some say a minor miracle occured: the reawakening of the Gita's living presence, as it unfolded in a series of wisdom teachings led by Ram Dass. With Love, Service, Devotion, and the Ultimate Surrender, you are invited to experience these legendary gatherings.

Amazing

Really incredible insights, explanations and uncoverings. I did think it would it more specifically on the Gita but it looks at the whole scope of the text and it's message, rather than analysing and unpacking it.
Thankfully he gives a clear overview of the story and the background of it so you don't need to remember the whole tale in detail.
Such a fascinating listen. Really worth the time!

Ultimate surrender

I have read quite a lot but nothing compares to this. His honesty, sense of humour, self acceptance, literature knowledge amazed me. He became my daily companion, I'm learning from him and he entertains me at the same time. Best buy I'v ever made in my life.

Inner Wisdom

I love Ram Das and have done so from the moment I first heard heard his words of wisdom in the 70's. I always find those gems that make me question myself, that shake me and wake me out of the illusions I slip back into again and again. His words touch deep into the soul like a gentle caress or, a strong prod reminding me just who I am not who I think I am. This is a book which is good for anyone just starting out on a spiritual journey, as well as those experienced travellers still searching.

Masterful

Ram Dass at his most eloquent, witty and humble. He speaks the truth, and there was very little I could find reason to disagree with. But if I did, he made the space in which to do that. The last chapter it probably worth the purchase alone.

Excellent coverage of Gita by a Master teacher

Ram Dass delivers 12 hours of lectures in his own inimable kind, loving, humorous style. These lectures are now many decades old, but for me they are totally relevant in our modern world (How could timeless wisdom ever lose it's relevance after all :-)
