About this listen
Bestselling author Rob Bell returns with a provocative new book which gets to the heart of questions about life and death. His perspective, encapsulated by his famous slogan ‘love wins’, will surprise and challenge both Christians and atheists, and will inspire people of all faiths and none.
A recent Gallup survey showed that over half of British people believe in heaven. But what is it? Who is it for? Why does it matter? And how do we know if we’re going there?
Rob Bell believes that even the most fervent Christians and the most committed atheists, are still not satisfied with their traditional answers to these questions. Out of respect for their traditions they keep quiet, confiding to a few close, safe friends their doubts and questions about why they are here and where they are going.
For many years, on sermons and DVDs and on bumper stickers and t-shirts, bestselling Chrisian author Rob Bell has been saying that ‘Love Wins’. But ‘Love Wins’ is much more than a pithy slogan.
‘Love Wins’ is a philosophy drawn out from deep within religious tradition and writings. It provides answers to the deepest and most difficult questions about life and faith, and about heaven and hell. And it is a call to arms for all of us to live a more meaningful life.

Courageous questioning of orthodox doctrines
What a superb idea the audible books is. Hearing the author reading their own book is like something from futuristic science fiction. Well ok it has been around for a while but quite fun on-line especially when you can listen to a 5min sample.
As regards " Love wins " by Rob Bell, he looks at some important issues. Quite daring and disturbing points but probably will lead to more mature, balanced thinking. Rob Bell pushes the envelope as far as he can while remaining in Christian doctrines. An important analysis of this part of the jigsaw. For an even wider perspective I recommend Robert M. Price especially his excellent book " The reason driven life ".
Thomas Paine wrote an interesting option about God and heaven in his " The age of reason "1794. To paraphrase- A loving, good God would take everyone to heaven or let them cease to exist.
As Rob Bell highlights there are various views in the Bible of what Jesus might be like. Maybe the Jesus of John ch 8v11 who said, " Then neither do I condemn you " ( Then neither do I cast the first stone ) would say at a judgement day, " let whoever lived a flawless life cast the first person into hell...oh there is no one worthy...then neither do I cast anyone into hell. ". If Jesus ordered St Peter, " Do not condemn that you be not condemned " then how could St Peter Matt 16v18 deny anyone entry to heaven without condemning himself. How could the Jesus who talked of love your neighbour and enemy, do not judge or condemn, forgive that you be forgiven do anything other than take everyone to heaven. How could God live with himself unless he redeemed all. If Jesus triumphed over hell then surely he would claim his whole prize. Surely Jesus is so valuable to God that he is worth all of humanity. Surely if Matt 19v26 is correct "With God all things are possible" then all can be purified, transformed, renewed. But surely a real good God would prevent crime and suffering, restrain or switch people off before they murder etc

Very powerful and compelling essential questions
I was recommended this by a friend who is a big fan of Rob's. I have to say it's very refreshing to hear a former pastor put forward such challenging questions. Really gets your mind going.

Indeed Love Wins and always will
Not only the book is very interesting and unlightening as to who Jesus really is, nothing to do with religion, it is well writen, by someone who knows what he is talking about, very cleverly done and clear as well, which is not too often the case when the writer in very smart and knows his subjet well and from many angles.
The recording is also of extremely good quality, all together I am very happy with my purchase and plan on listening to it several times because there is so much to it. And truely I beleive that love will always win in the long run!

Love Wins
Excellent book for all people who feel they are losing sight of what God is all about - LOVE. This book caused controversy in many churches as it suggests there is no hell. This is a book that can be dipped into or read cover to cover. Rob Bell also makes short videos just search and you'll find them. A great Evangelist. An easy read.

Rob Wins!
I have read the book several times, but listening to Rob reading it with all his expression and tonality lifts the content to a new level, his reading style is just like hearing him speak in his relaxed and winning ways, the book itself is a refreshing examination of what we fundamentally believe and a narrative of Rob’s own faith journey into a bigger imagination of God

I needed that!
A mind blowing and soul calming way of describing who God is and very importantly to me - who God isn't! I would put this book up in my top list of favourite and inspiring reads to date. Thank you Rob!
