Beautiful detail in the writing. Graphic descriptions
Wonderfully original story, beautifully written with unique construction. Characters and emotions are observed in the finest detail and as result they come to life.

I feel berated
Got this on audible as I have 3 book club reads this month, so thought I’d listen while doing other things. I’m part way through chapter 2. I can’t tolerate any more of the narrator - he’s hectoringly officious in his tone, it’s not a pleasant experience. I’ll have to try to make more reading time before the next Book Group meeting. Can’t comment on the story as the narration is so in the way.
