Summary

Like a genie’s lamp, whenever someone rubs against the coin, their deepest wish comes true. The other effect is that rubbing on the coin also brings them what they need the most. This coin only works once for each person but has changed hands many times.

Waiting to impart luck.

This is a short story tracing a day in the life of a very special 1985 U.S.quarter, accidentally minted from a much older coin. Stuck for ages in an old laundromat, when finally released it passes through the hands of four people, reads the desires and needs of each one, then gives them what they want. A nice, upbeat story, well narrated by Mike Eberhardt and introduced and ended with a short burst of music.
Great idea for a story and well executed. Although short, the protagonists were well characterized. My thanks to the rights holder who, at my request, freely gifted me with a complimentary copy. A really pleasant, and interesting, way to fill an hour. How lovely it it were true. Recommended for all readers
