Lo scopo del ciclo di conferenze è espresso dalle sue stesse parole: "Approfondiremo la ragione per cui il grande ideale della nostra epoca debba essere quello che nessuna espressione religiosa deve trionfare sull'altra, ma che invece le forme religiose si devono intendere fra loro. Come condizione necessaria per raggiungere questo accordo occorre praticare una vera comprensione reciproca, la comprensione delle basi fondamentali occulte, che esistono ugualmente in tutte le religioni."
