An anonymous letter throws up a baffling problem: someone is about to be murdered, but whom? Finally, Maigret’s old bête noire, Manuel Palmari, has been found murdered. Will that help Maigret get to the bottom of his criminal empire at last?

BBC at its best
this is the BBC at its best. Maurice Denham and Michael Gough had voices amongst the best and these dramatizations are a delight to listen to.

Maurice Denham Makes A Good Maigret
A good selection of old fashioned tales set in France brought to life by the great actor, Maurice Denham and makes this selection for me.

Excellent Production
Would you consider the audio edition of Maigret Hesitates and Other Stories (Dramatised) to be better than the print version?
I like this version as well as the printed book and it has benefits over a good read - a good listen is wonderful
