An excellent ending

If you have read or listened to the first 3 books I am sure you need no convincing to continue. A great author, story and narrator.

Fantastic Finale

The main plot finally comes together and the whole second half of the book makes this series for me.

Sophronia gets to shine as she tries to save the world she knows and the people she loves. The climax is creative, exciting, funny, full of surprise reveals and surprisingly gritty. I enjoyed the final story and was happy with the ending. I hope to see more of these great characters in Carriger's other books.

Reader was fantastic as usual, I would happily listen to the series again.

Another great book

This is the final instalment of the finishing school. Once again the story takes you on an emotional roller coaster. I'm almost sorry that the story has ended.

The final Finishing School instalment - can they defeat the Picklemen?

Final instalment in the Finishing School series. While it did feel a little rushed at the end (almost like there should've been a book 5 but someone said no, so she had to cut off and finish off in the last quarter of book 4 instead), overall the book is excellent. With a Pickleman plot to foil and a country to save, Sophronia and her friends have a fight on their hands, and with very few weapons (and can I say, the idea of a wicker chicken weapon made me laugh out loud!) they go into battle. But can they defeat them, save the country, and graduate Finishing School? Will there even be a School left to graduate? And what will become of them all? Well, you'll just have to listen to find out!

Not as good as expected.

I have loved this series despite it being YA series, however this was a real let down. I didn't actually realise this was the last in the series right until the end and have to say it was a massive let down. It could have been so much better. That said, Moira Quirk did a fantastic job of narrating as always and really brought all the characters to life.

Pure genius!

Along with all Gail Carriger's books this is funny, stylish, unusual and utterly absorbing. Her characters live and find a place in our hearts while her plots surprise and delight. Excellent female role models and faultless moral compass. Can't get enough.

The finishing school finishes.

This book is as good as the others in the series, I recommend you read in order as things come to light here you'd never expect earlier on.

Such a beautiful end to this part of the series. I'm so glad we get to meet some of these characters again.
