Summary

Mark Twain is arguably one of the most famous authors in the United States, with his books Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn. His characters were a typical, yet deviant, episode of the time period in which he lived, depicting the circumstances under which many people lived. The paradox lies in the fact that many people were shocked and impressed by his stories, at the same time.

As if the controversy wasn’t enough, Mark’s financial situation (whose name was actually Samuel Clemens) was to be lamented, as were some other struggles he faced. He would probably be proud to see how many people have embraced his works and literature now, more than 140 years later.
