About this listen
On Hallowe'en night, Mathilda Honeycutt finds out she's a SuperWitch. Not the modern, hippie kind...the real, wand-wielding, pixie-dust kind. After a life devoted to retail and coffee drinks, Mathilda is thrown into the secret world of witches, werewolves, vampires, faeries, you name it, it exists!
As Mathilda discovers her magic, she also discovers she's prophesied to save the world. The problem is, she'd rather spend her time on online auctions bidding on fabulous designer shoes.
Now, she's got to save the world, run her coffee house and figure out what's going on with the silent, watchful (but yummy) Sebastian Wilding and brainy, charismatic (and hot) Dr. Aidan Seymour.
Making matters worse, her nemesis is a powerful witch who doesn't mind fighting dirty.
Will Mathilda be able to save the world while still being perfectly accessorized? And how is she going to pick between Luscious Sebastian and Dreamy Aidan?
Lastly, will she ever get the hang of riding around on a broom?

Fun and light, magical story
Matilda is a 33 year old witch who has just found out she is a super powerful, prophesied witch and her family kept it a secret from her until the right time, so that she could live her life. She moves to the U.K. to train and help her relative with a coffee shop. In the U.K. she meet the 2 men that are prophesied to protect her and get intimate with. There is a bunch of drama, action and fun, but, unfortunately, almost no spice at all which was very disappointing. The story is light and fun and you won’t feel bored, but be advised that Matilda can be childish and acts a little juvenile at times (I find it very funny). Good Halloween story without the spook side.
Susannah Jones’ performance was great, as always.

Magical Bridget Jones - DNF
Whole novel written in this diary style a la Bridget Jones. Remember THAT trend? Do not miss it. Can’t help but wonder if this is lazy desire to not have to write full sentences - hmmmm. Also, means nothing happens in real time. Favourite narrator, but pretty much only one British accent so gets repetitive. Typical to KA MUCH too much fashion and decor description(NOBODY CARES) and new weird observations of British culture (inaccurate). Struggled through diary style - enjoyed it despite annoyance, but got bored near the end and DNF.
