Summary
A comic caper that every young aspiring comedian will love, packed full of heart, humour, and dos and don'ts!
Open with your best gag. Finish with your second best. Make sure your face matches the material. Sell your routine....
Matt Millz loves stand-up comedy. He's studied the best. He's memorised all the advice. He spends hours writing new gags and thinking up crazy sketches.... So when the school runs a talent contest, of course he's going to enter.
What he doesn't count on is:
- Last minute total meltdown
- His best mate pulling out zero seconds before going on
- Teeny tiny Kitty Hope and her own bonkers ambitions
- His stepdad's own 'funny' ideas
- Headmaster Meredith Pavey, who very definitely has it in for him.
Comedy gold from a comedy genius.

it's a fun story - Harry Hill makes it though
i bought this book due to my children (10year old girl and 4 year old boy) being bored in quarantine. i love Harry Hill anyway so thought I'd give it a whirl. its a simple story which kept my kids quiet for a bit. which was nice. and there were even some funny bits for us adults.
will definitely get another matt millz book soon.

One of my favourite books
This book is so funny and at the same time such a good story I listen to audiobooks at night so have never actually heard the ending and am yet to listen it! But because I love this book so much I would be willing to stay up all night! My friend lives this book loads and she tells me that she has drifted off listening to it on countless occasions! I really liked Harry Hill before this book but I liked him A lot more after listening to it thanks for reading.
