Merlin in 5 Minutes
iMinds is a series of non-fiction audiobooks, all only 5 minutes long and each dealing with a different subject.
Here it's Merlin, King Arthur's magician, advisor and friend.
But is it possible to explain such a complex character in only a few minutes?
Yes and No.
Yes, you get the basics, if you listen really carefully to take in all the info provided, but only the basics.
Sadly, even the background music and sounds and the excellent narration can't help it, the whole impression is rather hectic, as time is short.
When I tell you, Merlin ended his days as a madman in the forests of Tweetsdale in the Scottish Borders, it may astonish you, if you didn't already know. It certainly isn't knowledge you will gain from listening to the audiobook.
Nevertheless, the audiobook is well made and it's still a nice way to learn some interesting facts and to kill 5 minutes.
