About this listen

Toby Kincaid loves being the junior librarian in his hometown of Sandy Lake, Ohio. He spends his days surrounded by books and chatting with the library patrons. He especially adores the head librarian, Mr. Miggles, who is kind, witty, knowledgeable about everything, and hopelessly addicted to Christmas. Sean Miggles is also pretty cute - especially for an older guy who wears ties and suit pants every day.

But Sean keeps himself at a distance, and there's a sadness about him that Toby can't figure out. When Sean is accused of a crime he didn't commit, he gives up without a fight. Toby realizes that he alone can save the library - and their head librarian.

Toby will need to uncover the darkness in Sean's past and prove to him that he deserves a second chance at life and at love too. And while Christmas miracles are being handed out, maybe Toby will get his own dearest wish - to love and be loved by Mr. Miggles.

Festively Fabulous.

What a thoroughly enjoyable tale. When you're transported so effectively into a world that after you finished the story, the characters leap into your thoughts, make you smile and have you wondering how they're doing - then you know you got lost in the story. The only thing that makes me sad is that this story isn't true and that somewhere, in a library, in a small town in Ohio, Toby and Sean don't really exist. Write a sequel, Eli. I want to tag along on Toby and Sean's journey together to see how their life together continues. Superb narration by Tristan. Put yourself in the festive mood - heck, listen to this anytime just to put yourself in a great mood. I love it - you will, too!

Heart-warming

Wonderfully witty warm story, with drama & humour. Loved the narration - so en pointe.

Too many weird and saddening plotlines

I hoped for romance. Alas. And an author writing a epilogue explaining her story and meaning, is just lazy. I mean: if she knows something is unclear, adjust the text!
The sound quality was very poor.
