Summary

Murder Against the Grain: Booktrack Edition adds an immersive musical soundtrack to your audiobook listening experience!*

This is the sixth of 37 Emma Lathen best sellers, featuring John Putnam Thatcher, SVP of the Sloan Guaranty Trust. $985,000 has been stolen from the Sloan in a letter-of-credit situation with forged documents; John Putnam Thatcher gets involved to save the Sloan the money and finds murders in the process. Great fun with the Soviets, Americans, and others acting up.

*Booktrack is an immersive format that pairs traditional audiobook narration to complementary music. The tempo and rhythm of the score are in perfect harmony with the action and characters throughout the audiobook. Gently playing in the background, the music never overpowers or distracts from the narration, so listeners can enjoy every minute. When you purchase this Booktrack edition, you receive the exact narration as the traditional audiobook available, with the addition of music throughout.

Please note: The audio for this title has noise issues at the beginning and end of each file/chapter.

Messy narration. Irritating intrusive "music".

I understand what Deaver Brown says in the afterword, but narration is completely unrealistic. Disappointed.
