Edward, a libertine, philanderer, the son of the factory owner George, a young man with many enemies, many of them female. Bodkin is new to the area and Amy soon becomes an invaluable source of information.

Perfectly fine

I’m writing a review because this was fun but probably won’t stand out so far in my memory that in 6 months time I’ll be hunting for the sequel. It’s not by any means a bad book but I read a lot!!

Truly Amazing

I have been a reader of the work of Trevor Belshaw for several years, he is one of my favourite authors. Trevor Belshaw has Murder at the Mill tells the story of how a murder is discovered at a local factory which is thought to be the result of a burglary. I read this book when it first came out on kindle and when I knew it was being made available as an audio book I was eager to reacquaint myself with this lovely book. I had pre-ordered on Audible so I was able to start listening on Monday morning.
I was hooked from the beginning and apart from a short break, listened to it all day.
The choice of Gemma Lawrence as the narrator / voice actor for this work was inspired. She has a voice that is easy to listen to, drawing the listener into the story. Her voice is clear, natural and brings the characters, particularly Amy to life. Her range of different accents for the characters is remarkable and adds to the quality of the recording. I hope that the rest of the series is also made available on Audible and that Gemma continues to be chosen as the narrotor. Five star author and five star narrator
