Basic introduction to topic, not very inspiring

It's ok as an introduction to the topic, but there's not much about creativity/expression in the book. The advice is very formulaic and really doesn't inspire exploration or expression, which I think is important in song writing. Gets a bit too bogged down in terminology and doesn't explain the theory enough in terms of how things make people feel.
