Pickpocket John Jacob Turnstile is on his way to be detained at His Majesty's Pleasure when he is offered a lifeline, what seems like a freedom of sorts - the job of personal valet to a departing naval captain. Another BRILLIANT book from John Boyne!
Another gripping story with a brilliant main character, and supporting characters. The narrator was also excellent. I loved this audio book and would highly recommend it.

Another gem from John Boyne.
Thoroughly enjoyed both the story and the narration, Both were marvellous.
Time to select my next J.B. book having now listened to four.

Excellent
I loved this book. Definitely one of my favourites ever. So well written and performed. A great story of the sea, interaction between complex personalities and survival

Utterly absorbing
Piers Hampton - my new absolute favourite narrator, this was an absolutely fantastic adaptation of mutiny on the bounty was enhanced even further still by such fantastic narration by Piers Hampton. I’m gutted it’s finished & fully intend to listen again.

Brilliant book

Another triumph by Boyne
Wonderful take on the infamous swashbuckling adventure. I’ve only read (or listened) to 3 of Boyne’s books but they are so wonderfully diverse and the narration here was superb

Worth Sticking With!
This book takes a while to get going (the narration is excellent throughout which makes up for it), but I have listened to the final 5 hours pretty much in one sitting I was so enraptured! Highly recommended!

All ways thought Bligh was the baddie but this puts a different spin on the story well worth a listen!

Another great book by John Boyne, I have read several and have not been disappointed. As a novelist he is Up there with the best I have read.
