Summary
In August 2015, Limerick man Jason Corbett was murdered by his wife, Molly Martens, and her father, ex-FBI agent Tom Martens, in the bedroom of their luxury North Carolina home. He had been savagely beaten to death with a baseball bat and brick while his children slept nearby. For his sister, Tracey Corbett-Lynch, and the rest of his family in Ireland, it was just the beginning of the nightmare that would involve a custody battle for his orphaned children, an online hate campaign by Molly Martens, and, ultimately, the gripping trial that would lead to her conviction, alongside her father, for his murder.
My Brother Jason is the story of how this seemingly all-American girl from a picture-perfect family targeted the widowed Jason Corbett, becoming nanny to his children in a desperate bid to create the family and security she craved, thus setting in motion a series of events that would lead to Jason’s brutal killing by the woman he had once loved.

Worst narrator
Absolutely appalling narration. I have never heard such terrible accents and irritating pauses before. Please in the future do not allow this narrator to even read the back of a cornflake packet let alone an important book about such a great tragedy.

Most annoying
The narration was just about the worst I am ever heard. The speaker was obviously trying to imitate an Irish accent, however, she failed miserably, at times she sounded East European, Scottish but never Irish!! Totally ruined what was otherwise not a badly written book

Well written story, bad choice of narrator
The story of this awful murder is very well written. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is interested in the case. The narrator is terrible. Her voice is all wrong and her attempt at accents is embarrassingly bad. But I was able to get beyond that and appreciate the story that was being told.

Good book ruined by awful narration
Genuinely struggled to finish what is an important story due to the horrendous narration. For reasons known only to herself, the narrator attempts an Irish accent that is both wildly distracting and horrendously inaccurate. It takes so much away from the book itself, which is a tale of a grieving sister trying to honour and get justice for her much missed brother. Only finished because my heart went out to the family for their loss.

Heart rending
Extremely well told story. The level of detail in what the family went through is unbelievable. Tough listening in some spots. The only downside was the strange accents and breathing of the actor narrating the story.

Very well written book but only to read.
This is a great book but the narration was really bad. It was very hard to listen to. The fake Irish accent was unbearable as was the overdramatised manner in the way the whole book was narrated. I was going to give up soon after I started it but the story was very interesting and well written.

Worse ever narration
I was almost going to stop listening because being Irish myself I found it so hard to listen to the awful awful narration, it was literally painful to listen to. Firstly has the narrator never traveled? That's possibly the furthest from a Limrick accent I've EVER heard. The stereo typing of the Irish family 🤣sweet divine it was so so bad. NO Irish person specks like this, she was switching between a posh English accent to at one point it sounded Indian?? The whole "Two August" ?? did she not know how to say dates??Absolutely Awful.
Very very sad story and out of interest and it happening to a fellow Irish person I suffered the narrator. Since this book 📚 was released Molly and her father walked free 😔 after only four years in prison. I'm so sad for Jasons family, especially his children. The Mollys and her father walk among us, be warned and never take anyone at face value. Rest in peace Janson & Mags ❤️

Content was super but thumbs down for the narrator.
Excellent book, very interesting but the voice of the narrator was very hard to listen to and her accents were awful.
