Entertaining rubbish that kept me listening whilst I ran
I had to get past the narrator’s voice, particularly when he read the words of the female characters ,but the story was quite gripping until the last couple of chapters which were just ridiculous

I do find myself recommending this book
I enjoyed the book but everything time the narrator done a female accent i wanted to start a new book. i only finished this book because i hate to give up. I find books read by American s really annoying thought. I wish there had been a bit more action in it.

let down by the ending
Very good story, and even though it's dark there's beautiful character development so that you can't help but begin to care about the characters. Just a huge shame about the ending - in a book full of twists and turns the ending was weak and clichèd.

Absolute original
This book was so good, it inspired me to write a rare review. Its not often that a totally original story comes along. The characters were beautifully crafted and there were plenty of twists and turns. I couldn't stop listening and finished it in 3 days!

Gripping Psychological Thriller
A seriously dark, psychological thriller that twists and turns its way through to the bitter end.
Samantha Downing has created a powerful disturbing, calculating and enveloping story of a Serial Killer that, whilst avid and seasoned readers of this genre of book will likely second guess certain elements, still shock and alarm at every turn.
It's content illustrates the different types of psychotic behaviour that clearly exist.
Superbly written by an author who uses language beautifully.
It is an outstanding narration by the renowned actor, David Pittu. The style in which he reads this story is nothing short of brilliant. He clearly read his 'script' from beginning to end before embarking on the recording.
I can't say more for fear of turning a review into a spoiler, but this is page turner of a book not to be missed. For me it's ending made perfect sense but is one that leaves the reader with much to consider.
It far outshines many other thrillers that I have recently read.

Slow burner
Good book but took a while to get to the climax of the story, right at the end. Unexpected twist at the end.
Personally I just couldn’t enjoy the narrator (just not for me), the American accent was so strong, and his voices of other characters put me off actually listening.

Great story, well read
This story kept my interest from the start and throughout the book. It was well read with an easy voice to listen to. Would happily listen to more books from this author and from this narrator.

Samantha made me fall in love with the main character, was rooting for him all the way.
