About this listen
Here, for the very first time, he tells the story of those United years. With his beloved Reds, he tasted FA Cup victory in the emotional final of 1963, won three first division championships, and in 1968 reached the pinnacle of club success, winning the European Cup.
Inevitably, such highs are balanced with no less dramatic lows, such as the 1957 European Cup semi-final, the highly charged 1958 FA Cup loss (which followed only weeks after the horrors of the Munich Air disaster), and the 1969 European Cup defeat by Milan. He is one of the true gentlemen of football, and the legacy that Bobby Charlton gives to United is beyond compare.

A really look into English football greatest player!
I’ve been a huge United fan ever since I was little and new the store of the Buzby boy’s success very well and the store of arguably the club’s most famous player. Over time I’ve read meany books and watched many films and documentaries on Charltons life and the events that shaped him into the legend he is today. But this book was a refreshing new take on his life from the legend him self the performance was exceptional really captured the Essence of Sir Bobby Charlton it almost felt like he was narrating his life to you and was in the room with you. Charltons own words about the famous Munich air disaster also brought a few tears to my eyes a great and important event in his life and the clubs history that forge the bunch of bouncing heathens into the world class football team they are today. It was also quite nice to hear Sir Bobby Charlton him self persona talk about his humble beginnings and his outstanding greatness coming from nothing it was quite inspirational especially because I play football myself and I imagine it will have the same effect on other sports players.
Overall this audio book is an exception listen weaver your a United super fan, England supporter or just want a good sports book this is an exception listen I would definitely recommend it!

Loved it!!!!
This audiobook was absolutely phenomenal, my only issue with it is it wasn’t long enough, it felt like as soon as it started it was finished and I could’ve listened to it for days but fortunately it went on for just under 2 hours.
