About this listen
Ericka Gilmore dabbles in life and death when she tries to conjure a ghost lover. But when Joe Reeves appears on her doorstep in the midst of a storm, she has to rethink her destiny.
A car accident left the former cop with the ability to foresee death. No longer willing to watch people he cares about die, Joe goes in search of a shaman to remove his "gift". His remedy until then is to avoid all relationships. But like a lightning strike, he experiences a strong connection with Ericka. A nearby mystical ley line could be Joe's solution if he and Ericka combine their gifts. But her secret past and his fear of seeing her death keep them at odds.

Two Tormented Souls Find Each Other
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
This story truly got me entranced... The two characters find themselves to have more in common than they originally expected, and either by fate or predestination, find each other and a cleansing love to be shared without agonizing. The supernatural and paranormal auras that guide their lives' decisions are at the core of their unhappiness, but ultimately it is thanks to those peculiarities that they are able to embrace them and thrive. It is a complicated love story in which even the secondary characters are extremely well defined and with important roles in the story's development. Even the almost cameo appearance of Joe Reeve's sister in the narration, has the right impact for the story's development. The only character I found a little confusing was Joe's brother-in-law. As a doctor I'm not sure he would have guided Joe towards shamans and occult solutions to resolve his troubling after-accident side effects, but its nice to see the caring shared by both.
The narration was remarkable with a superb interpretation. The writing was clean and inspiring. An audiobook well-worth listening to.
