I thought I was hardened!

I’ve worked in and around mental health in a variety of settings all my life. This book echoed my beliefs. But the stories made me cry. I have heard many, but still the cost of ‘so called mental health’ is heartbreaking. Good listen, very moving.

Absolutely fascinating listen.

Such an interesting insight into schizophrenia and the Western treatment of it.
Nathan Filer delivers the book in a gentle and knowledgeable manner and makes it comprehensible and accessible even if you have no awareness of the subject matter.

Eye Opening

Kind of blew me away really. I have listened to so many audible books but never felt compelled to actually right a review. That to me speaks volumes for this book.
Insightful and compassionate explanation of the state of affairs in the mental health system and what is the reality for people living with psychosis and schizophrenia. Told through the experiences of this mental health nurse and the stories of those that have lived it.
Cannot recommend this book more highly.

This should be a compulsory text….

I would like to see what kind of changes would occur in the treatment of mental health service users (and society) 10 years after “This Book Will Change Your Mind About Mental Health” was made a compulsory text in a core subject of every undergraduate and graduate Medical, Allied Health, Public Health, Public Policy, Law, Criminal Justice and Education degrees.

Suggestions on how to be a key holder:
Buy it, read it, think on it, talk about it, give it as a gift, ask your local library to get in several copies, suggest it to your reading group, leave copies on the train,
Do more than 5 of these and the next version of the DSM may diagnose you as Key Holder with Evangelical tendencies.

To Nathan Filer. Authorship of this book is the definition of a good deed. Thank you.
