Summary
Felix has lost everything. On an ordinary evening, he meets a lonely figure at a service station who needs his help. How can Felix be of any assistance to this man, and where is he taking him? Plunged into blackness and faced with demons from his past, he must fight to help save the future of mankind.
Nearhope, a place populated by the damned, acts as a buffer between the demon’s realm and our world. But the first incursion has occurred. Can the chosen twelve and their leader return evil to where it came from? If they fail, He who reigns over all the darkness will claim the prize he has long sought, and the consequences for the human race will be devastating.
A fantasy horror, where the fight between good and evil rises to a new level and takes the listener on a journey to a place like Hell… only far, far worse.

Had me at the edge of my seat the whole time!
It's a graphic story of demons trying to take over the world. The story had disturbing parts which made me hooked onto every minute of the narrator's performance. Speaking of the narrator, it was a perfect delivery and I really hope Alan narrates the next one! I really loved the graphic descriptions and how nothing was held back. The story was great and I can see this being turned into a movie one day. Overall, I highly recommend it as I could find nothing to complain about! Fantasy Horror fans should not sleep on this title or this author! I can't wait for the next one!

A fantastic book made all the better by the narration.
This book is marketed as fantasy horror, but it is so much more. A story that takes the reader on an epic journey from our world to a dark realm inhabited by demons. The demons want to destroy the human race and need to be stopped. With references to Covid, YouTube and social media, it is bang up to date. The narration is fantastic and gives the story depth.

Superb narration & great story
When it comes to audiobooks, for me the first thing that has to be good is the narration. It can't simply just be read, it must be performed. Thankfully, John Regan's book is narrated superbly by Alan Turton. An exciting & eerie fantasy horror that keeps you listening and engaged. Great characters and a great concept. I really enjoyed this one. I highly recommend Nearhope!
