Summary

Neo Babylon's neural implants are iconic—and are now implicated in a mass murder that threatens the foundation of the city.

Detective Nick Waite finds himself struggling with the case. He's spent his entire life without a neural implant, excluded from the Altnet, and now needs to investigate a crime steeped in it.

Nick will need to rely heavily on his subordinates, the city's elite police Archangels. Unfortunately, the deployment of the new prototype, Ezekiel, is threatening to cause a schism in their ranks if he doesn't intervene.

Tensions rise almost by the hour while he investigates. Babylon's corporate overlords are at each other's throats while its people stage virtual protests. If the tensions boil over before Nick identifies the culprit, the city's dark history might repeat itself.

Best one yet!

A natural continuation of the story and it doesn't disappoint! We finally got a closer look at the virtual ocean and what Nick's been missing all this time, and the drama of this case is higher than ever!

Good enough

The story is worse that 2nd book and over all its not as good. I had to sit for a few minutes trying to remember the plot. I did in the end. But I can recall a lot of details from the second book but having trouble with the third. Its original. its interesting development of overall world. It is still worth the money. But...
I like 2nd book more. It is best in the series so far. The plot the villain the Bank AI the mystery. Third book is more like a bridge or a prelude to something else. I hope The forth one will be more ... just more )
Performance? Do you even have to ask? Its close to perfect.

Another amazing instrument

The books keeps on nicks track throw the political scene of Babylon. It also shows how he’s becoming more Hardy and more accepting of the job with the same great writing. An interesting storytelling would highly recommend.
