Summary
Falling for your best friend is hard.
Georgiana - Georgie to everyone outside her family - figured out long ago that being in love with your straight best friend sucks. Turns out it's even worse when that friend, Madelyn, tells you she's not so straight after all. After it becomes clear to Georgie that she needs to get over Madelyn, Georgie moves cities and starts a new job.
To grad student Madelyn, though, the sudden rift between the friends prompts painful introspection. A year later, she realizes her feelings for Georgie are romantic after all. Madelyn plans to use their annual winter cabin getaway to confess her love.
But Canadian winters are unpredictable. When Madelyn and Georgie are snowed into their cabin in the woods, the two are forced into difficult conversations that confront deeply felt emotions about the past, present, and future. Can the friends find common ground after all they've been through?

No depth in storyline
The book had a good plot but a lot of missing aspects what happened with mads brother and Georgie sister
But of their moms too needed more

Really not sure about this one
My third story by Lily Craig and not up to the others. I could not empathise with Madelyn who I thought was naive and self obsessed. I was actually hoping that Georgia would see the light and head for the hills. Just as well the title was "included" in membership of I don't think I would have finished .
Emily Beresford's narration did not help in this story.

Sweet romance.
A beautiful lesbian romance that shows how two friends become in love together, by showing past and present day.
The narrator did a great job and told the story well.

Sweet
This novel focuses almost entirely on the 2 main characters and their friendship- one who is vocal but slow to understand and the other quick to understand but slow to vocalise.

With different, less dramatic narrator it would be more enjoyable. I wish it was more detailed in character development and story itself

Had to quit after an hour
The book might have been ok, but I just couldn’t get past the narration. It was like something you would hear from a 60 year old not a couple of 20 year olds. Had to quit after an hour ☹️

Please re record with different narrator
Story was very predictable with no character growth or real depth. Didn't get emotionally wrapped up in either main characters. There were plenty of missed opportunities to add more interest.
Honestly, I have listened to many books amd this is one of the worst narrators I have come across. Tone, pitch and pace was a complete miss. Over excited in some places spoilt the mood of what the author was probably intending. Its difficult to know whether my lack of enjoyment of this book was more associated with the big miss on the narration than anything else.
